Muddy (the Mudskipper)

Do you like mud? Cuz I shore do!

Hi I’m Muddy the Mudskipper. I can’t get enough of my favorite amphibious fish of the Indo-Pacific! They belong to the Gobi family, and are one of 32 species, ranging from 2.75 to 9.75 inches in length.

They have two dorsal fins and two pelvic fins that they use to move in a motion called “crutching.” I once broke my ankle and had to do a ton of “crutching!” Their diet consists mostly of brine shrimp, worms, mosquito larva, insects and small shrimp, freeze dried shrimp and worms, dry fish food. Sounds good to me!

An interesting fact about me: I can climb rocks and trees and jump 2 ft into the air! Just like the mudskipper!
